  <dc:description>This series gathers records regarding the Isle of Man Lunatic Asylum and Ballamona Hospital's patients' health care during their stay in the institution.
It comprises:

   -Head Nurses' reports that describe any outstanding circumstances relating to patients during their shift, and cover all wards of the Hospital;
   -registers of mechanical restraint and seclusion;
   -Medical Superintendent discharge recommendations;
   -a notebook that records sick patients and when their family was contacted regarding the situation;
   -patients' case notes that are organised by date of death since the late 1960's and that reflect the continuation of the case books series.</dc:description>
