Isle of Man Ballamona Hospital Patients' Case Files
Individual file for each patient that stayed in the Hospital until its closure in the 1990s. They continue the type of medical register registered in the Case Books (S22/4/1), in a different format and with more extensive medical information. Documents inside include:
- correspondence;
- copy of admission papers;
- notices of departure or death;
- admission case sheets;
- treatment consent forms (dental, electrical shocks or operations);
- mental health history sheets;
- clinical records;
- envelopes that contained patients' belongings.
