<dc:title>Planning Committee: Planning applications index maps: County Series Town Plans</dc:title>
<dc:description>A collection of of index maps for planning applications submitted for property and land in Peel, Douglas and Ramsey.

Town Plans at scales 1:2500 and 1:1250 form the basis of the maps, onto which annotations have been made to record planning applications submitted for each property or area of land. The plan sheets are: Douglas (3 sheets), Peel (3 sheets) and Ramsey (2 sheets). Each property subject to a planning application has been outlined in ink and the planning application reference number written on the map. The maps and their header strips have also been marked with the equivalent National Grid square references.

When searching for planning applications, researchers should also consult the maps in S90/1, S90/3 and S90/4.

When using these indexes, the first step is to identify the map sheet where the property is located. This can be done by referring to the overview index map sheet S90/2/1; then viewing the individual maps sheet for the specific area of the Island and finding the property itself on the map. Any application numbers identified on the index maps can then be researched further using the planning registers (S89), the application files (S10) and the planning committee minutes (S92).</dc:description>
